NICOLAS BARATTO ARCHITECT is a full service, New York City based architecture and design consulting firm. Founded in 2006 by Nicolas Baratto, the firm’s focus is to provide architectural and design consulting services that maintain the highest standards of design, meet client budgets of all sizes and conform to any project schedule.
Since 2006, Nicolas Baratto Architect has built a portfolio of successful projects that include residential, academic, corporate, retail, hospitality and entertainment. Nicolas Baratto Architect approaches projects with the philosophy that there should be a clear understanding of the client’s objectives. These objectives are achieved through careful coordination among the entire project team, including interoffice staff, contracted and third party consultants, vendors and contractors. Architectural and design services offered by Nicolas Baratto Architect include conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction administration, FFE selections and specifications.
Between 2002 and 2006, Nicolas Baratto worked as a project coordinator at New York University. At New York University, Nicolas provided owner’s representation for the renovation of the NYU Elmer Holmes Bobst Library, the NYU television center and the NYU campus media center.
Between 1993 and 2002, Nicolas Baratto worked as an Associate at BBG/BBGM New York. At BBG/BBGM, Nicolas contributed to a variety of projects and project types. New base building projects include the Hyatt Regency Hotel at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia, PA, the Marriott Hotel at Adriaen’s Landing in Hartford, CT and the Mohegan Sun Resort in Montville, CT. Renovation projects include the Sheraton Russell in New York, NY (which received awards for best luxury suites and best luxury bar from Hospitality Magazine), the Waldorf Astoria in New York, NY, and Gaddi’s Restaurant and the Verandah at the Peninsula Hotel in Kowloon, Hong Kong.
Nicolas Baratto was born and raised in New York City. In 1993, he received a Master’s of Architecture from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with an emphasis on residential design.
